Each year, Bloom Magazine presents the Rosa Royo Legacy Award to a risk management professional who exemplifies Rosa’s commitment to employee wellness, compassion, and meaningful leadership in the workplace. We are proud to honor Sara Platt as the 2025 recipient.
Sara’s career in workers’ compensation has been built on purpose, consistency, and care. She has spent years ensuring that employees feel safe, supported, and informed.

One of Sara’s most impactful contributions is her redesign of the SafePath program. With thoughtful structure and meaningful touchpoints, she introduced safety committees, monthly check-ins, face-to-face visits, and engaging safety games.
This approach has helped create a safety culture that is both effective and personal, keeping employees engaged and supported.
Sara is known for her calm presence and her ability to provide clarity in moments of stress. Whether she is helping an injured employee navigate the claims process or working with teams to improve procedures, she shows up with dedication and empathy. Her love for the work is clear and her impact is lasting.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Sara recently earned both her associate and bachelor’s degrees in healthcare and will begin her master’s program soon. This commitment to continuous learning reflects her drive to grow and her passion for doing things with excellence.
Sara is also a respected voice in the industry. She has spoken on panels at major conferences and is especially passionate about sharing her experience with complex claims and safety program implementation. Her focus is always on making a meaningful difference in the lives of employees and the clients they serve.
