Christina Rodriguez, a Claims Supervisor and Adjuster at Relation Insurance, exemplifies dedication and balance both professionally and personally. With a career that spans over two decades, she has navigated through various roles to emerge as a supervisor, leading a team of twelve. Beyond her professional life, Christina is a devoted wife and mother, whose family and friends form the cornerstone of her existence.

Christina’s career trajectory is a testament to her hard work and perseverance. Reflecting on her journey, she shares, “I started as a temp and worked my way up to be a claims supervisor.” This accomplishment stands as a significant milestone, demonstrating her ability to rise through the ranks through sheer determination and commitment.

Balancing her demanding job and her personal life is no small feat. “A typical week at work is busy,” Christina notes. With new hires and promotions, her role involves extensive training and workload distribution, constantly aiming to streamline processes to enhance efficiency for her team. Despite the hectic schedule, she finds joy in appreciating her employees. “Once a year, we do a week of dedicated employee appreciation. Planning starts months ahead, and it’s so fun to show the employees how much we appreciate them,” she says, highlighting one of her favorite parts of the job.

Interestingly, Christina did not always envision herself in the insurance field. “Hahahaha no, I have always joked that I do not think anyone has said, I want to be a claims adjuster when I grow up!” she laughs. Her entry into the field was serendipitous, beginning as a 20-year-old in need of a job, placed at Relation Insurance (then EMI) through a temp agency. From filing papers to overseeing a paperless department, technological advancements have significantly transformed her work environment over the years.

On the personal front, Christina’s journey to motherhood was marked by perseverance. “It took my husband and I seven long years to get pregnant with my daughter,” she reveals, adding that her daughter is her proudest personal achievement. The adventure of motherhood is, according to Christina, the most adventurous thing she’s done in her life.

Art and photography are passions that fuel Christina’s creative side. “I have an unwavering love of all art; I can spend hours in an art museum and art studios. My favorite gallery to date is Art Basel in Miami,” she shares. This artistic inclination is a lesser-known aspect of her personality, revealing a depth that complements her professional persona.

Christina dreams of starting a vacation rental business, a venture she’s been too scared to undertake so far. She describes herself as “Kind, Artistic, Happy,” embodying qualities that help her navigate the challenges of balancing work and home life. “Finding peace in moments and appreciating each part of the journey in some way has helped me,” she reflects, acknowledging the ongoing struggle to maintain balance.

If given the chance to do anything for a night, Christina would choose to revisit her roots. “Take flight with my family to Germany and see where I was born and lived for 3 years of my life,” she says, revealing a desire to connect with her past.

Through it all, what makes Christina smile the most is simple yet profound: “My family and friends.” In a life marked by professional success and personal fulfillment, Christina Rodriguez continues to inspire with her dedication, balance, and unwavering love for art and family.
