Ashley Conway: Workers’ Compensation Claims Supervisor at USIS

Written by Bloom Magazine

Ashley Conway is a woman who balances numerous roles with grace and dedication. As a mother, wife, supervisor, friend, HOA president, and PTO activities chair, she juggles her responsibilities with a commitment to building relationships and fostering a supportive community.

One of the most rewarding aspects of Ashley’s multifaceted life is the connections she forms. “I love building relationships with my teammates, clients, and coworkers,” she shares, highlighting the value she places on interpersonal connections. Each morning, Ashley starts her day with a moment of mindfulness. “I breathe to center myself for the day,” she says, emphasizing the importance of beginning each day with calm and focus.

Ashley describes her strengths as “Caring, Understanding, Passionate,” qualities that undoubtedly contribute to her ability to inspire and support those around her. Others see her as “Influencing, Humble, and Honest,” a testament to her impactful presence and genuine character.

While she wishes she had more time to read, Ashley stays present and unwinds through daily yoga and meditation. Music is another source of joy for her, with Dirty Heads’ “Life’s Been Good” currently on repeat. Her boys never fail to make her smile, and she eagerly anticipates their nightly family movie time at 7:00 PM.

Self-care is essential to Ashley, who describes it with the words “Sleep, Water, Meditate, Make Down Time, and Breathe.” A night owl by nature, she enjoys a caramel macchiato venti to kickstart her day. When it comes to food, she prefers savory over sweet.

Her purse is always stocked with practical items: band-aids, eyeglass cleaner, snacks, BC powder, and ChapStick. These essentials reflect her preparedness and care for herself and her family.

Inspiring other women is something Ashley does naturally, even if she doesn’t always recognize it. “I don’t know if I inspire women, but I make sure everyone knows that they are valued, it’s OK to make mistakes, and I’m always here to listen and guide,” she explains. Celebrating women’s accomplishments is important to her. “I feel as a society we are so quick to point out negatives. What if we use as much energy to point out when someone does something that makes you smile?” she muses.

Ashley admires many women, including her grandmother, aunt, team members, and close friends. “All motivate me, ground me, and want me to be my best self,” she says, expressing gratitude for the strong women in her life who inspire her daily.

Ashley Conway exemplifies the power of relationship-building, self-care, and community support. Her story is a reminder of the importance of fostering connections, taking time for oneself, and recognizing the positive contributions of those around us.
